MLR (MLee Recruiting) is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Nursing Specialist to join a dedicated team at a highly regarded acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas!
Salary Range: $65,599 - $90,979 annually
Primary Responsibilities:
- Patient Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' health conditions and respond to their concerns.
- Medical History Documentation: Accurately record patient health histories, conditions, and symptoms.
- Patient Preparation: Ensure patients are informed and comfortable before exams or treatments.
- Work Schedule: Night shifts, Monday through Friday.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments while monitoring for any side effects or reactions.
- Care Plan Coordination: Collaborate with the medical team to design and update individualized care plans for each patient.
- Wound Management: Provide necessary wound care, including cleaning and dressing as required.
- Procedure Assistance: Offer support to medical professionals during procedures.
- Medical Equipment Monitoring: Operate and supervise medical devices to ensure proper functionality.
- Specimen Collection: Collect specimens such as blood and urine for laboratory analysis.
- Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families on care plans, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the treatment process.
- Team Leadership: Supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students to maintain high standards of care.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
- CPR-BCLS Certification
- ACLS Certification: Required for C4 units within 6 months
- NRP Certification: Needed within 6 months for C4 and Labor & Delivery
- PALS or ENPC Certification: Required within 18 months for Pediatric units
