MLR (MLee Recruiting) is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Nursing Specialist to join a committed team at a respected acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas!
Salary Range: $65,599 - $90,979 per year
Primary Responsibilities:
Patient Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient health and address any immediate needs.
Medical Record Keeping: Accurately document patient histories, including symptoms and medical conditions.
Patient Comfort and Preparation: Ensure patients are informed and at ease before exams or treatments.
Shift Hours: Night shifts, Monday through Friday.
Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments, closely monitoring for potential side effects.
Care Plan Coordination: Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust personalized care plans for each patient.
Wound Care: Provide wound care, including cleaning and dressing as necessary.
Procedure Assistance: Support healthcare providers during various medical procedures.
Medical Equipment Management: Operate and monitor medical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Sample Collection: Collect necessary specimens, such as blood and urine, for lab testing.
Patient and Family Education: Guide patients and families on care plans to ensure understanding of the treatment process.
Team Leadership: Oversee licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students to maintain high care standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) License
- CPR-BCLS Certification
- ACLS Certification: Must be obtained within six months for C4 units
- NRP Certification: Required within six months for C4 and Labor & Delivery
- PALS or ENPC Certification: Required within 18 months for Pediatric units
