MLR (MLee Recruiting) is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Nursing Specialist to join a committed team at a respected acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas!
Salary Range: $65,599 - $90,979 annually
Primary Responsibilities:
- Patient Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' health status and address any concerns.
- Medical History Documentation: Accurately document patients' medical histories, conditions, and symptoms.
- Patient Preparation: Ensure patients are informed and comfortable before examinations or treatments.
- Work Schedule: Night shifts, Monday through Friday.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments, closely monitoring for potential side effects or reactions.
- Care Plan Coordination: Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update personalized care plans for each patient.
- Wound Management: Provide necessary care for wounds, including cleaning and dressing as needed.
- Procedure Assistance: Support healthcare professionals during various medical procedures.
- Medical Equipment Monitoring: Operate and monitor medical devices to ensure proper functioning.
- Specimen Collection: Collect samples such as blood and urine for laboratory analysis.
- Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families about care plans, ensuring they understand the treatment process.
- Team Leadership: Supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students to maintain high standards of care.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
- CPR-BCLS Certification
- ACLS Certification: Required for C4 units within 6 months.
- NRP Certification: Needed within 6 months for C4 and Labor & Delivery.
- PALS or ENPC Certification: Required within 18 months for Pediatric units.
