We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in North Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and serving as a resource in the therapy department.
Description:
Occupational therapy (OT) is an allied health profession that involves the therapeutic use of everyday activities, or occupations, to treat the physical, mental, developmental, and emotional ailments that impact a patient’s ability to perform daily tasks. The responsibilities of Physical Therapist include (but are not limited to):
- Evaluating a patient’s condition and needs
- Developing treatment plans to address a patient’s needs and help them meet specific goals
- Assessing a patient’s home and/or work environment and recommending adaptations to fit the patient’s needs and improve independence
- Training patients and their caregivers to use special equipment
- Assessing and documenting progress for evaluation, billing, and reporting purposes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Masters of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Licensed by the State of Texas.
- CPR
- Must be able to provide direct and supervised patient care.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform the technical skills and critical thinking outlined in the performance standards.
- Must be able to successfully pass required exams.
- Knowledge of the principles of Occupational therapy across the life span, to assess age specific needs of children, adolescents, adult, and elderly patients to provide them with appropriate care.
- Must be familiar with the standards of care regarding inpatients and outpatients
