Nuclear Medicine Technologist

 

MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a full-time, permanent, direct-hire Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a dedicated team at a well-regarded acute-care hospital located near Abilene, Texas!

 

Salary Range: $68,011 - $98,289 annually

 

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Key Responsibilities:

Radiopharmaceutical Administration: Prepare and administer radioactive substances used in diagnostic imaging procedures.

 

Image Acquisition: Capture clear and precise images to assist physicians in diagnosing infections and other medical conditions.

 

Work Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday.

 

Radiation Safety: Implement radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for both patients and staff.

 

Specimen Evaluation: Analyze laboratory specimens as part of nuclear medicine procedures to support diagnosis.

 

Appointment Coordination: Manage and schedule patient appointments for necessary diagnostic tests.

 

Patient Communication: Clearly explain nuclear medicine procedures to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology or Nuclear Medicine program.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Certifications: NMTCB or ARRT certification is required.
  • Licensure: Texas Medical Board MRT certification.
  • CPR/BLS Certification: Must hold current certification.
  • Nuclear Medicine Expertise: Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine practices and procedures.
  • IV Skills: Proficient in starting IVs for administering radiopharmaceuticals.
  • EKG and Stress Testing Knowledge: Familiar with performing EKGs and stress testing procedures.
  • Injection Skills: Able to perform injections for pharmacologic testing.
