MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a dedicated Intermediate Care Unit Specialist for a full-time, permanent position at a renowned acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas. Join a team committed to providing exceptional care!

 

Salary: $84,830 - $102,456 annually

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Patient Monitoring: Continuously oversee patients' vital signs and overall health, ensuring timely intervention in response to any changes.
  • Clinical Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' conditions and progress, keeping accurate records and communicating updates to the healthcare team.
  • Work Schedule: Night shifts with flexible scheduling options.
  • Medication & Treatment Administration: Administer medications and treatments with precision, adhering strictly to medical guidelines and protocols.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create and manage personalized care plans for each patient.
  • Emergency Response: Act swiftly in medical emergencies, delivering critical care and performing life-saving procedures when necessary.

 

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License: Active and in good standing.
  • CPR-BCLS Certification: Required before the completion of orientation.
  • ACLS Certification: Must be obtained before the end of orientation.
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification: Required prior to the completion of orientation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using computer systems for data entry and operating medical equipment for therapeutic purposes.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and behavior at all times.
  • Nursing Expertise: Strong understanding of the nursing process and ability to provide care in accordance with established standards.
  • Confidentiality: Capable of managing sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
