Intermediate Care Unit Specialist
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is in search of a committed Intermediate Care Unit Specialist for a permanent, full-time role at a distinguished acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas. Be part of a team that strives for excellence in patient care!
Salary Range: $84,830 - $102,456 annually
Key Duties:
- Patient Monitoring: Continuously observe patients' vital signs and general condition, ensuring swift action to any health changes.
- Health Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health, recording progress and updating the healthcare team with critical information.
- Shift Information: Night shifts with options for flexible scheduling.
- Medication & Treatment Administration: Precisely deliver medications and treatments in compliance with medical protocols and standards.
- Team Collaboration: Partner closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to plan and manage personalized patient care.
- Emergency Response: React quickly in medical emergencies, offering essential care and performing life-saving interventions when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- RN License: Current, active license in good standing.
- CPR-BCLS Certification: Required before completing orientation.
- ACLS Certification: Must be obtained by the end of orientation.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification: To be completed by the end of orientation.
- Technical Skills: Competent in data entry within computer systems and skilled in using medical devices for patient care.
- Professionalism: Maintains a professional appearance and behavior consistently.
- Nursing Knowledge: Thorough understanding of nursing principles, with the ability to provide care based on established guidelines.
- Confidentiality: Capable of handling sensitive information discreetly and responsibly.
