Intermediate Care Unit Registered Nurse
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is looking for a full-time, permanent Intermediate Care Unit Registered Nurse to join a dedicated team at a well-regarded acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas!
Salary Range: $60,297 - $85,198 annually
Core Responsibilities:
- Patient Monitoring and Evaluation: Consistently assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition, responding swiftly to any changes or concerns.
- Treatment Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments with precision, and perform medical procedures with careful attention to detail.
- Care Collaboration: Work alongside physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement personalized care plans for each patient.
- Patient and Family Education: Clearly explain medical conditions, treatment options, and post-hospital care plans to patients and their families, offering emotional support as needed.
- Emergency Response: Act quickly in urgent medical situations, providing necessary critical care interventions.
- Documentation: Keep accurate, detailed patient records, noting all treatments and reporting any significant changes in patient status.
Qualifications:
- RN License: Must hold a valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- CPR-BCLS Certification: Required before the completion of orientation.
- ACLS Certification: Must be obtained by the end of orientation.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification: Required before completing orientation.
- Data Entry: Proficient in data entry and the use of healthcare software.
- Equipment Proficiency: Skilled in operating therapeutic medical equipment.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Nursing Expertise: Strong understanding of nursing processes, ensuring care aligns with best practices.
- Confidentiality: Able to maintain patient confidentiality in all aspects of care and documentation.
