What the Role Entails

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Conduct diverse ultrasound examinations, ranging from abdominal and obstetric to vascular and small parts imaging
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures while clearly explaining each stage of the process
- Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, addressing any technical issues promptly
- Document all procedures accurately while keeping patient records up-to-date within an electronic medical system
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in ultrasound technology and procedures
What to Bring
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is highly regarded
Certification Requirements
- Current certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
