Company Overview: Our client is a leading healthcare institution committed to providing exceptional patient care and promoting a safe and healthy environment for both our patients and staff. They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Infection Preventionist to join their dynamic team.

Position Overview: As an Infection Preventionist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of infection control and prevention within the healthcare facility. You will work collaboratively with various departments to develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention programs to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and guidelines.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments and surveillance to identify potential sources of infection.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare teams to educate and train staff on infection prevention measures.
  4. Investigate and analyze outbreaks of infections and implement corrective actions.
  5. Monitor and report infectious disease data to relevant health authorities.
  6. Stay current on emerging trends, research, and technologies in infection prevention.
  7. Conduct audits and inspections to assess compliance with infection control protocols.
  8. Participate in the development and review of facility emergency preparedness plans.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in nursing, microbiology, epidemiology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) is highly desirable.
  3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in infection prevention within a healthcare setting.
  4. Strong knowledge of infectious diseases, epidemiology, and public health principles.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team.
