MLR is collaborating with a leading local health system to hire an experienced Medical Physicist. This pivotal role ensures the highest standards in radiation therapy, leads the integration of advanced technologies, and ensures regulatory compliance within the radiation oncology department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold professionalism and adhere to the health system's Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Oversee all aspects of radiation therapy, including linear accelerator quality assurance, treatment planning, brachytherapy, and consultations, in accordance with AAPM guidelines.
- Perform quality assurance and calibration for radiation devices, ensuring compliance with established protocols and safety standards.
- Manage treatment planning physics, uphold radiation safety, and ensure regulatory compliance across all activities.
- Collaborate with the radiation oncology team, translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights.
- Conduct weekly reviews of patient treatment records and annual quality assurance assessments for all equipment.
Qualifications:
- American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certification or Board Eligibility is required.
- Master’s Degree in Medical Physics is required.
- Doctorate Degree in a related field is required.
