A respected healthcare system in the Myrtle Beach Area is looking for a full-time, permanent Dosimetrist to join their oncology team. In this critical role, you will collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to design and execute precise radiation treatment plans for cancer patients.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and calculate accurate radiation treatment plans using 3D and IMRT systems, working closely with radiation oncologists and medical physicists.
  • Perform dose calculations to ensure accurate delivery of prescribed treatments.
  • Review and verify treatment plans for precision and compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to discuss treatment protocols and monitor patient progress.
  • Ensure patient safety by adhering to radiation safety guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts.

Acute Radiation Dosimetrist Required Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) credential is mandatory.
  • Expertise with treatment planning systems such as Eclipse or Monaco.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices and oncology protocols.
  • Capable of working independently and making informed decisions in a high-pressure environment.
