MLee Healthcare is seeking a skilled and dedicated full-time, permanent, direct-hire, Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic outpatient team near Myrtle Beach, SC. The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient therapy and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

 

Physical Therapist Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Support: Assist in conducting thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
  • Type:  full-time, permanent, direct-hire
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Implement and guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and interventions to enhance their mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
  • Setting: Inpatient 
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including PTs, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly observe and document patients' progress, reporting any changes to the supervising PT and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on exercises and strategies to continue rehabilitation at home and maintain progress.
  • Compliance: Ensure all treatments and procedures are performed in accordance with outpatient clinic policies and regulatory standards.

Physical Therapist Assistant Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Licensure: Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in South Carolina or a compact license.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
