MLee Healthcare is seeking a skilled and experienced full-time, permanent, direct-hire First-Assist Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join the surgical team at a leading hospital near Myrtle Beach, SC. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in perioperative nursing, particularly as a First-Assist in the OR, and a strong dedication to delivering high-quality patient care during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surgical Assistance: Actively assist surgeons during operations by performing tasks such as suturing, tissue manipulation, and maintaining optimal exposure of the surgical field.
• Employment Type: Full-time, permanent, direct-hire position.
• Patient Care: Safeguard the health and well-being of patients throughout the surgical process by closely monitoring their condition and coordinating care with the surgical team.
• Preparation and Setup: Ensure the operating room is ready for procedures by preparing necessary equipment and supplies, verifying sterility, and ensuring functionality.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical staff to ensure seamless patient care during the perioperative period.
• Work Setting: Hospital-based Operating Room.
• Shifts Available: 4x10s or 5x8s - Day shifts.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior experience as a First-Assist RN in the OR is required.
• Licensure: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in South Carolina or a compact license, with current certification as a First-Assist (RNFA).
• Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to perform well in high-pressure situations.
