Certified Surgical Technologist Job Responsibilities
- Prepare Surgical Equipment and Supplies: Ensure all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies are organized and ready for use in surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with Surgical Teams: Partner with surgeons, nurses, and OR staff to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care during procedures.
- Handle High-Pressure Situations with Poise: Remain calm and professional in stressful moments, effectively managing challenges as they arise.
- Ensure Surgical Sterility: Maintain impeccable sterile techniques throughout surgeries to prioritize patient safety and prevent contamination.
- Adapt to Changing Duties: Demonstrate flexibility and take on additional responsibilities as required to support the surgical team’s success.
Job Requirements
- Licensure & Certifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program.
- AHA BLS certification required (within 30 days of hire).
- Current North Carolina state Surgical Technologist Registration.
