Certified Surgical Technologist Job Responsibilities 

  • Prepare Surgical Equipment and Supplies: Ensure all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies are organized and ready for use in surgical procedures. 
  • Collaborate with Surgical Teams: Partner with surgeons, nurses, and OR staff to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care during procedures. 
  • Handle High-Pressure Situations with Poise: Remain calm and professional in stressful moments, effectively managing challenges as they arise. 
  • Ensure Surgical Sterility: Maintain impeccable sterile techniques throughout surgeries to prioritize patient safety and prevent contamination. 
  • Adapt to Changing Duties: Demonstrate flexibility and take on additional responsibilities as required to support the surgical team’s success. 

 

Job Requirements 

  • Licensure & Certifications: 
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program. 
  • AHA BLS certification required (within 30 days of hire). 
  • Current North Carolina state Surgical Technologist Registration. 
  • Skills & Experience: 
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of thinking critically and effectively managing stressful situations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. 
  • Eagerness to Learn and Grow: Open to acquiring new skills, adapting to evolving technologies, and staying current with medical procedures. 
  • Team-Oriented with Strong Collaboration Skills: Able to work seamlessly within a team, contributing to a cooperative and efficient healthcare environment.
