Acute Physical Therapist - Full Time

Join our hospital-based rehabilitation team in Elliott, South Carolina, where you will play a crucial role in the recovery of patients following surgery, injury, or illness. What You’ll Do
Conduct Patient Assessments
- Assess patients' physical conditions and medical histories to develop personalized rehabilitation plans tailored to their specific needs.
Implement Therapeutic Interventions
- Use a variety of therapy techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and equipment-assisted interventions to improve strength, flexibility, and mobility.
Monitor Patient Progress
- Continuously track patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure they meet their rehabilitation goals efficiently.
Collaborate with Healthcare Teams
- Work alongside physicians, nurses, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care in the hospital setting.
Guide and Educate Patients and Caregivers
- Provide education on home exercises, lifestyle modifications, and injury prevention to help patients maintain their progress and reduce the risk of future injuries.
Promote Wellness and Mobility
- Advocate for physical activity and preventative care to improve patient outcomes and overall well-being.
Qualifications
Education:
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Licensure & Certification:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in South Carolina
- Certifications in specialized areas of physical therapy (e.g., orthopedics, geriatrics, neuro) are a plus
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
