Physical Therapist - Home Health

 

MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a full-time, permanent, direct-hire Physical Therapist to join a collaborative home health team at a well-respected acute-care hospital near Conway, South Carolina!

 

Compensation: Competitive salary + $15,000 sign-on bonus

 

Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly, Monday-Friday

 

Physical Therapist Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in their home settings to identify physical abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
  • Custom Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized therapy programs based on patient assessments, medical histories, and physician recommendations.
  • Home-Based Therapy: Deliver physical therapy treatments directly in the patient's residence, including exercises, manual therapy, and mobility enhancement techniques.
  • Patient and Family Education: Provide guidance and support to patients and their families, teaching exercises, therapy techniques, and lifestyle changes to facilitate recovery.
  • Monitor Progress: Regularly assess patient progress, modifying treatment strategies to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with physicians, healthcare providers, and caregivers to provide coordinated, high-quality care.
  • Handle Emergencies: Respond to urgent situations during home visits, providing appropriate interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Driver’s License & Insurance: Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license and automobile insurance as mandated by law. Candidates must be at least 21 years old to comply with the hospital's fleet vehicle policy.
  • Licensure & Certification: Active Physical Therapist (PT) license and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required. Professional liability insurance is recommended but not mandatory.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all licenses and registrations remain current, as required by state and institutional regulations.
