MLee Healthcare is collaborating with a client to find a skilled Outpatient Coder specializing in Day Surgery and Endoscopy. The ideal candidate will maintain a professional demeanor, excel in customer service, and uphold essential coding certifications. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Exhibit professionalism and deliver outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers, in alignment with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
• Keep AHIMA or AAPC credentials current and in good standing.
• M-F / 8-hour days
• Utilize comprehensive outpatient coding expertise to accurately assign ICD-10-CM codes for primary and secondary diagnoses in all Day Surgery and Endoscopy cases.
• Precisely assign CPT codes for primary and secondary procedures in Day Surgery and Endoscopy, ensuring the most appropriate APC assignment.
• Handle coding for Day Surgery and Endoscopy encounters across all client facilities.
• Meet department productivity standards with at least a 95% accuracy rate.
• Correctly apply all necessary modifiers to CPT codes and ancillary charges to avoid billing errors.
• Appropriately query physicians when documentation is unclear in the medical record.

Qualifications/Education/Training:

• 1 to 2 years of experience in Hospital Day Surgery and Endoscopy coding within Medical Records.
• High School Diploma required, with active credentials through AHIMA or AAPC.
