Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a professional image and exemplify excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate leadership in quality management systems, promoting the process approach and risk-based thinking.
  • Manage staff effectively, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and supervision to meet patient care needs.
  • Develop, supervise, and coordinate pharmacy programs across the facility.
  • Address operational challenges, such as scheduling, workflow optimization, and supply management.
  • Oversee medication management processes from procurement to administration, ensuring safe and effective use.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, including state and federal laws.
  • Register as Pharmacist In Charge with the SC Board of Pharmacy for assigned locations.
  • Manage pharmacy department budget, monitor financial performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the pharmacy enterprise.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in pharmacy management.
  • BS or PharmD Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in South Carolina or eligibility to obtain licensure within 3 months of hire.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
