Medical Technologist MT / MLT (ASCP)
MLee Healthcare is partnering with a respected healthcare company to recruit a Lead Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist for a full-time position at an acute-care facility in Columbia, SC. As a Lead Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist, you will ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results, manage complex testing procedures, and oversee laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to guarantee accurate and reliable laboratory results.
- Perform complex laboratory tests and analyses as needed.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical technology and laboratory techniques, and apply best practices.
- Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Communicate new procedures, protocols, and technologies to the team.
- Develop and manage the scheduling for medical technologists and MLTs.
- Promote a collaborative and positive work environment, supporting teamwork and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
- Certification: Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a medical technologist, with increasing responsibilities.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, and familiarity with laboratory information systems and data management.
