Patient Care Supervisor, Critical Care Unit - Full Time

Patient Care Supervisor, Critical Care Unit Functions:
- Assess patient needs based on comprehensive data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic analysis
- Deliver appropriate nursing interventions in line with the Plan of Care and professional standards, while incorporating the Physician’s prescribed medical plans
- Uphold service excellence standards by supporting and validating hourly rounds to ensure patient care and satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with unit standards, policies, and care protocols, effectively coordinating patient care activities during the assigned shift
- Manage employee-related issues and concerns to optimize the work environment, fostering a culture of caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors
- Create a supportive environment for patients, families, and visitors by using appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff
- Apply standard protocols in managing central lines, Foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators (if applicable), restraints, and fall-risk patients
- Support departmental efficiency, particularly when serving as the charge nurse, which requires Advanced Resuscitative Certification specific to the patient population in this role
Required Education/Experience:
- Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
- Must possess a valid South Carolina or compact (multi-state) RN license.
- Active Basic Life Support certification is required, along with additional certifications specific to unit requirements.
Shift Differential:
- Evenings: $1.25/hr (3p-11p)
- Nights: $6.00/hr (11p-7a)
- Weekends: $4.00/hr (Friday, 3p – Monday, 7a)
