Patient Care Supervisor, Critical Care Unit - Full Time

Patient Care Supervisor, Critical Care Unit Functions:

  • Assess patient needs based on comprehensive data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic analysis
  • Deliver appropriate nursing interventions in line with the Plan of Care and professional standards, while incorporating the Physician’s prescribed medical plans
  • Uphold service excellence standards by supporting and validating hourly rounds to ensure patient care and satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with unit standards, policies, and care protocols, effectively coordinating patient care activities during the assigned shift
  • Manage employee-related issues and concerns to optimize the work environment, fostering a culture of caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors
  • Create a supportive environment for patients, families, and visitors by using appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff
  • Apply standard protocols in managing central lines, Foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators (if applicable), restraints, and fall-risk patients
  • Support departmental efficiency, particularly when serving as the charge nurse, which requires Advanced Resuscitative Certification specific to the patient population in this role

Required Education/Experience:

  • Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
  • Must possess a valid South Carolina or compact (multi-state) RN license.
  • Active Basic Life Support certification is required, along with additional certifications specific to unit requirements.

Shift Differential:

  • Evenings:  $1.25/hr   (3p-11p)
  • Nights:  $6.00/hr  (11p-7a)
  • Weekends:  $4.00/hr  (Friday, 3p – Monday, 7a)
