Description:

As an Acute Laboratory Manager, your central goal will be to develop a collaborative and efficient workplace with specific attention to quality patient care. In addition to general radiologic care, responsibilities of a Lab Manager include (but are not limited to):

• Responsible for direction and day-to-day management of patient care in the Laboratory department.
• Manages/Directs staff members, and consults with staff, physicians, and Director of Lab on any issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
• Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in quality improvement activities.
• Ensures that the Laboratory department and its staff are equipped with an environment conducive to the standards of the facility. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in appropriate field required / Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration or equivalent preferred
• 5+ years of experience in an acute lab setting
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role
• ASCP or AMT Certification (MT)
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications
