13-Week Temporary Assignment

Start Date: 5/22/2023

Shift: Day (7a-5p) Monday-Friday rotating weekend; NO ON CALL

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sonography Technologist to join our team as a Travel Sonography Technologist (Breast Care) for our facility located in Binghamton, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for performing and evaluating a wide range of diagnostic breast imaging procedures using specialized equipment and techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and evaluate breast imaging procedures, including mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and breast biopsies, as ordered by physicians.
  • Ensure that all diagnostic exams are performed in a timely and accurate manner, with high quality and minimal patient discomfort.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal functioning and communicate any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials and adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures and patient information, and input data into computer systems as required.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education to ensure that skills and knowledge remain current and up to date.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
  • ARDMS certification in Breast Sonography
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in breast imaging, including mammography, ultrasound, and MRI
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel to other facilities as required
