Polysomnography Tech / Sleep Tech (RPSGT)

Full-Time | Night Shift Needed

MLR is looking for a meticulous and skilled Sleep Technician to join our team. In this position, you will perform sleep studies, monitor patients throughout the night, and ensure precise data collection to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.

 

Key Responsibilities for a Polysomnography Tech / Sleep Tech:

  • Configure and calibrate sleep study equipment to ensure precise readings and optimize patient comfort.
  • Conduct overnight polysomnography, monitoring and recording physiological parameters such as brain activity, heart rate, and respiratory patterns.
  • Guide patients through the preparation process, explaining procedures, and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Continuously monitor patient data throughout the night, adjusting equipment as needed to maintain safety and comfort.
  • Analyze and interpret sleep study results to detect patterns and irregularities associated with sleep disorders.

Qualifications for a Polysomnography Tech / Sleep Tech:

  • Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or licensed as an RRT.
  • NYS license required by start date.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Polysomnography, Respiratory Therapy, or a related field.
