We are currently seeking a skilled Histotechnologist to join our team in and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality patient care.

 

Job Summary: The Histotechnologist will be responsible for preparing and analyzing tissue samples to assist pathologists in diagnosing diseases. This role involves working with various histological techniques and maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure precise and reliable results.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and embed tissue specimens, including fixation, processing, and sectioning.
  • Perform routine and specialized staining techniques, including immunohistochemistry and special stains.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all specimens and staining procedures.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microtomes, staining machines, and embedding centers.
  • Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results.
  • Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist in the development and validation of new histological techniques and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Histotechnologist (ASCP HT or equivalent) required.
  • Proven experience in histological techniques, including tissue processing, embedding, and staining.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise laboratory work.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and quality control practices.
