Begin Your Lab Career Where History and Heart Come Together – Medical Lab Tech Opportunity in Western Pennsylvania
Tucked into the rolling hills of western Pennsylvania, this town offers a gentle rhythm that’s both peaceful and full of possibility. Known for its historic charm, university roots, and close-knit community, it’s a place where cobblestone streets and campus energy mingle with tree-lined neighborhoods and a deep appreciation for tradition. Just a short drive from the cultural pull of Pittsburgh, you’ll find yourself in a setting that gives you the quiet to focus and the access to grow—both professionally and personally.
We’re inviting a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT / CLT) to join a lab team that believes in the value of thoughtful work and genuine collaboration. Whether you’re a recent graduate or about to complete your MLT program, this full-time opportunity offers day, night, and weekend shifts to suit your schedule as you begin your journey in medical laboratory science. You’ll be welcomed into a team that takes pride in mentoring, problem-solving, and delivering timely, accurate results that support compassionate patient care.
Your role will center around the core of clinical laboratory work—collecting and analyzing biological samples, performing routine testing, and learning to operate state-of-the-art lab equipment. You’ll document and report findings with precision, contribute to quality control efforts, and ensure compliance with safety standards that protect both patients and staff. Most importantly, your presence will matter—because in a community-focused setting like this, every person plays a vital part in the care team.
To be successful here, you’ll need an associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Technology, Biology, or a related field, along with certification through ASCP, AMT, or a similar credentialing body—or the eligibility to obtain one. We welcome new graduates and those early in their careers. What matters most is your ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, and bring a steady, team-oriented energy to your work. A willingness to learn and a passion for accuracy go a long way in our lab.
Outside of the lab, you’ll find a town that invites you to slow down and take in the charm—local cafes, heritage museums, quiet parks, and community events that bring people together. The nearby university brings a touch of culture and energy, while the proximity to Pittsburgh offers access to theater, sports, music, and more. Whether you enjoy weekend drives through the countryside or afternoons exploring city streets, this location offers the best of both worlds.
At MLR, we’re committed to developing new talent in the medical laboratory field—because we know that when professionals feel supported, they do their best work. Join a team that values growth, precision, and purpose, and find your footing in a place where your role is as meaningful as the community around you.
If you’re ready to begin a career that blends science, service, and a strong sense of place, we’d love to welcome you to the team.
