Job Overview: MLee Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiographer to join a growing medical team. The Ultrasound Technician is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and is registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). They maintain a State License as a general radiographer and/or are a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). Responsibilities include providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and according to departmental protocols. Tasks encompass performing abdominal, pelvic (including gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. Additionally, proficiency extends to scanning small parts such as the thyroid, breast, and scrotum, as well as conducting ultrasound-guided procedures including biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic examinations on patients using X-ray and other imaging modalities.
- Position patients properly to obtain high-quality images and ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Adjust imaging equipment settings to ensure clarity and accuracy of images.
- Process and analyze radiographic images to identify any abnormalities or indications of disease.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret and discuss imaging results.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to minimize exposure risks to patients and staff.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiography technology and procedures through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Radiography or related field from an accredited institution.
- Certification in Radiography (ARRT or equivalent) required.
- State licensure or certification as required by regulatory authorities.
- BLS required
- Epic experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with additional imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, or ultrasound.
- Specialized certification in a specific area of radiography (e.g., mammography, fluoroscopy).
- Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
