Key Responsibilities for Respiratory Therapist:
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients with diverse respiratory conditions.
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies, such as oxygen therapy, ventilation support, and airway management.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' respiratory status and create individualized care plans.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation in line with regulatory and organizational standards.
Respiratory Therapist Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Oregon Respiratory Therapist (RT) license.
- Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program required.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a clinical setting preferred. New graduates with solid clinical training are also encouraged to apply.
