PCU Nurse Manager

Job Summary:
  • Responsible and accountable as a unit manager on a 24-hour basis for the patient population and assigned staff.
  • The PCU Manager plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the unit activities.
  • Provides direction, support, and guidance to the assistant nurse managers and aids in their development both clinically and managerially.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, experience in quality improvement, self-directed, and excellent time management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.


Education / Licensing:

  • Current Oregon RN License.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • CCRN certification preferred.


Qualifications / Skills:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of clinical experience in area of specialty or related clinical field.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities; good communication skills, ability to inspire confidence in others, ability to plan, implement and evaluate change, commitment to promoting growth of others.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions and job-specific competencies, critical thinking skills, strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills.


Education:

  • Bachelor's or better in Nursing or related field.


Licenses & Certifications:

  • C-ARC-ALS
  • C-ARC-BLS
  • L-OR-RN License
