Job Title: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality ultrasound images to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring the production of high-quality images.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain and record relevant patient medical history.
  • Explain procedures to patients, address their concerns, and ensure their comfort and cooperation during examinations.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality, and provide preliminary findings to healthcare providers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, following established protocols.
  • Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and participate in continuing education.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification preferred.
  • State licensure as required.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to patient care.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer preferred.
  • Proficiency in abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and other ultrasound examinations.
