Position Summary: 

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech to join our client's dynamic team. As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes while ensuring patient comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of MRI technology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and established protocols. 
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety. 
  • Operated and maintained MRI equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards. 
  • Monitor patients during scans and communicate effectively with them to ensure cooperation and comfort. 
  • Evaluate MRI images for quality and clarity, making adjustments as needed. 
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation of imaging results. 
  • Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. 

Qualifications: 

Education:  

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related field. 

Certification / Licenses: 

  • Current ARRT (MR) or equivalent credential required. If registry eligible, credential within one (1) year of hire required. 
  • Current unencumbered Oregon license in MRI required. If a new graduate, temporary license upon hire and permanent license within one (1) year of hire required.
  • Healthcare Provider BLS required.
  • Radiography background with ARRT RT(R) credential preferred.
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Skills: 

  • Strong knowledge of MRI equipment operation, safety protocols, and imaging techniques. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures.
