Qualifications:

  • Attainment of certification through a knowledge-based exam meeting minimum standards, such as the Board of Certification CT(ASCP), or a Cytologist experience of 5 years (preferred), will qualify for consideration. New graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Preferred certification and/or having Three or more years of Cytologist experience.
  • A required Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science, and completion of an accredited cytopathology school.

  • Utilizing a microscope for the analysis of bodily cells.
  • Evaluating cells obtained through cytological methods, such as Pap tests, in order to determine their normalcy or abnormality.
  • Identifying variations in human cells that suggest potential illness.
  • Cooperating with pathologists to swiftly deliver diagnoses.
  • Fulfills any additional assigned duties within the scope of the role.
