MLR is seeking a skilled X-Ray/CT Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating X-ray and CT imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Your expertise will be crucial in positioning patients, administering contrast agents, and ensuring the accuracy and safety of all procedures.
X-ray / CT Tech Job Description
- Conducts both routine and emergency CT procedures using imaging equipment, accessories, and contrast agents effectively while adhering to radiation safety standards and departmental protocols.
- Prepares patients and imaging rooms for procedures, assists patients with appropriate attire, and ensures a comfortable, friendly, and secure environment. Educates patients and families about the imaging process.
- Maintains and updates patient, departmental, and hospital records, including manual and computerized data entry and clerical tasks as needed. Manages ordering and stocking of department supplies.
- Performs and documents equipment quality control in line with departmental protocols, handles routine cleaning and preventative maintenance, and reports any equipment malfunctions to the relevant personnel or department.
- Provides backup coverage for general Radiology procedures and is available for on-call duties outside of regular working hours.
X-ray / CT Tech Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration required. CT registry (ARRT) preferred.
- Ohio Department of Health Radiologic License required.
- BLS certification within 30 days of employment required.
