Athletic Trainer Position Summary:

Become a vital member of our sports medicine team as an Athletic Trainer (AT) and deliver on-site athletic training services at local schools and community functions. Working under a physician’s supervision, you will play an essential role in injury prevention, clinical assessment, immediate care, rehabilitation, and various other athletic training services.

 

Athletic Trainer Required Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:

  • Valid Athletic Training License in Ohio.
  • CPR Certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Board Certification.

Athletic Trainer Educational Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Degree Type: Bachelor of Science or equivalent.
  • Major/Field of Study: Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a similar field.

Athletic Trainer Main Duties:

  • On-Site Service: Provide athletic training support at designated schools and community events.
  • Athlete Care: Deliver services that include injury prevention, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of athletes.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, and aligns with Premier Health's standards.
  • Ongoing Education: Continuously update your knowledge of sports medicine by participating in professional development opportunities.
  • Public Engagement: Act as a representative for the organization by speaking at community events to promote awareness and education about sports medicine.
