MLee Healthcare has been engaged by a client to recruit a First Assist Surgical Technologist for their growing team in Ohio.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with surgeons during surgical procedures as the primary surgical assistant.

• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by providing appropriate instruments, sutures, and supplies in a timely manner.

• Maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure and ensure the integrity of the surgical site.

• Assist with surgical exposure, retraction, and hemostasis to optimize the surgeon's view and access.

• Perform wound closure under the direction of the surgeon, including suturing and application of dressings.

• Handle specimens carefully and accurately label and transport them to the laboratory.

• Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized surgical environment.

• Stay current with advancements in surgical technology and techniques.

Requirements:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program.

• Current CPR certification.

• Completion of a First Assist Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training.

• In-depth knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile techniques.

• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with the surgical team.

• Ability to remain composed under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.

• Commitment to patient safety and delivering high-quality care.
