Certified Athletic Trainer

MLR Healthcare is looking for a dedicated and certified Athletic Trainer to join our team in Ohio.

The ideal candidate will provide outstanding care to athletes, prioritizing their safety and well-being. This role involves on-site coverage at designated schools and community events, with key responsibilities including injury prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and the development of conditioning programs in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Educational Requirements:

• Minimum Level: Bachelor’s degree
• Degree Type: Bachelor of Science or equivalent
• Major/Area of Study: Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field
• Preferred Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current Athletic Training license in the State of Ohio
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification
• National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site athletic training services at assigned schools and community events.
• Deliver injury prevention, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Premier Health standards.
• Engage in ongoing education and stay updated on industry trends.
• Participate in public speaking events to raise awareness and educate others about sports medicine.
• Support cost management initiatives within the sports medicine department.
• Provide excellent customer service to athletes and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other members of the sports medicine team to enhance overall effectiveness.
