Job Description:


We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team in Ohio. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that medications are prepared and dispensed accurately, safely, and efficiently. You will assist pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care, manage medication inventories, and support the daily operations of the pharmacy. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, and labeling of medications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Verify prescriptions, ensuring that they are complete, and that dosage and medication instructions are correct.
  • Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, ordering medications, and ensuring proper storage conditions.
  • Provide customer service by answering inquiries and assisting with prescription refills, medication inquiries, and over-the-counter product recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Perform medication therapy management under the supervision of a pharmacist, helping to identify potential drug interactions or concerns.
  • Assist with compounding medications as needed, following strict quality control guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Participate in continuing education to stay current with pharmacy practices and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent.
  • State licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in Ohio.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, pharmacy laws, and drug interactions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and pharmacy software.
