CT Technologist

MLR is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join our dynamic radiology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
CT Technologist Requirements
- Maintained BLS certification (Must be maintained while in the position)
- Technologists are required to be registered –
- For Radiographic, CT, MRI, Cardiac Cath Lab, Bone Density, Mammography, and Special Procedures Lab the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists will be the credentialing organization accepted. Registered Technologists in Imaging Services wishing to transfer to a different modality are permitted to transfer with the expectation they become registered within 18 months of their transfer date.
- ODH License will be needed for all modalities with the exception of Ultrasound
- Proven clinical and didactic capabilities
- Maintain required Continuing Education credits to hold current registration organization membership
CT Technologist Key Responsibilities
- Properly position patients to achieve optimal imaging results.
- Adjust equipment settings to capture images with the best possible density, detail, and contrast for the area being examined.
- Follow safety protocols to minimize unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Apply a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology to enhance the accuracy of images, aiding physicians in diagnosis.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Imaging Services Director or Manager.
- Demonstrate sufficient computer proficiency to perform tasks within the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and RIS (Radiology Information System).
- Post-process images accurately to ensure clear representation of anatomical structures.
