RRT Qualifications:

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Valid state license for Respiratory Therapists.
• Proficiency in operating respiratory care equipment and performing diagnostic procedures.
• Strong clinical skills with a deep understanding of respiratory care techniques and protocols.

RRT Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ respiratory conditions by conducting physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
• Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans in line with physician orders and patient needs.
• Administer and monitor therapeutic treatments such as oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and mechanical ventilation.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results to modify treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and home care techniques.
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring it functions properly and remains hygienic.
