Schedule for Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT):
- Position: Part-Time, Night Shift
- Hours: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- Shift Differentials: $5.00 for night shifts, $2.00 for weekends, and $2.50 for evenings.
Job Summary and Responsibilities for Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT):
As a Respiratory Care Provider (RCP), you will deliver high-quality respiratory care services in accordance with physician orders and departmental guidelines. Reporting to the Medical Director of Respiratory Care Services and the Department Director, your responsibilities will include:
- Adhering to the Respiratory Care Scope of Services.
- Providing respiratory care services for all age groups, including emergency intubation.
- Ensuring accurate documentation of care and procedures.
- Maintaining patient comfort and safety through continuous assessment and monitoring.
- Performing duties that require physical activity such as extensive walking, bending, stooping, and assisting patients in various clinical settings.
- Lifting equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Working long shifts with minimal guaranteed meal breaks.
This position demands excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
Qualifications for Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT):
- Graduation from an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program.
- NBRC-certified Respiratory Technician (CRT) or NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with licensure from the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
- Current State of Ohio Respiratory Therapist license.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred: At least three years of comprehensive experience in cardiopulmonary services.
