Respiratory Therapy / Cardiopulmonary Director Job Summary:
Provides 24 hour leadership and accountability for the clinical practice and operational functions for the area(s) of responsibility. Ensures the quality of direct and indirect patient care by collaborating intra/interdepartmentally with staff, colleagues, administration, physicians, and others. Effectively manages material, fiscal and human resources. Delegates appropriately, demonstrates critical thinking to assure delivery of safe, quality, population specific care. Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory/accrediting body requirements; and professional practice standards. Participates in strategic and service growth planning and implementation
Requirements for Respiratory Director:
- Minimum of Associate degree (Master’s preferred) in related field with:
- NBRC Certified Respiratory Technician and NBRC Registered Therapist
- Licensed by Ohio Respiratory Care Board
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in respiratory care functions.
- Three (3) years’ recent management experience in clinical respiratory care services field strongly preferred,.
- Recent equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the ability to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
