Ultrasound Technologist Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. In this vital role, you will perform non-invasive cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures that aid in diagnosing cardiovascular conditions. You’ll play an essential part in helping patients receive timely, accurate diagnoses and compassionate care in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Ultrasound Technologist Key Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiograms, vascular ultrasounds, and other diagnostic cardiovascular exams as ordered.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
- Capture and analyze high-quality images for review and interpretation by cardiologists or vascular specialists.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Monitor equipment performance and ensure proper functionality, reporting any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care.
- Educate patients about procedures, addressing questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Ultrasound Technologist Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) and/or RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification required or eligibility within 12 months.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and technical skills.
- Experience in echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound preferred.
