CT Technologist
Position Overview:
As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging results and provide compassionate care to our patients. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- CT Imaging: Perform a variety of diagnostic CT scans, including head, chest, abdominal, and musculoskeletal imaging, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
- Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort and safety before, during, and after imaging procedures. Explain procedures clearly to patients, answer questions, and address concerns.
- Equipment Operation: Operate CT equipment and maintain imaging quality standards. Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machines.
- Radiation Safety: Follow strict radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists and physicians to provide clear and accurate imaging results for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including imaging results, patient information, and radiologic procedures performed.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in ongoing quality control procedures to maintain the highest standards of imaging quality and patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Certification as a CT Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT).
- State of Ohio Radiologic Technologist License (or eligibility to obtain).
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Experience operating CT machines and performing imaging procedures in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and infection control protocols.
- Excellent patient care skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced CT procedures, such as CT angiography, cardiac CT, or CT-guided biopsies.
- 2+ years of experience in CT imaging.
- Advanced certification in specialized areas such as MRI or Radiation Therapy.
- Familiarity with imaging software and electronic medical records (EMRs).
