Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse

MLR is looking for a dedicated and skilled Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our specialized team. In this position, you will deliver high-quality, intermediate-level care to patients who require more monitoring and support than what is provided in general medical/surgical units, but who do not need intensive care.


Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse Job Summary

  • Provides direct and indirect care to patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics, using the nursing process to assess and address patient needs. This includes data collection, problem identification, and the development and implementation of personalized care plans. Utilizes critical thinking to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, age-appropriate care. Effectively delegates tasks to the appropriate team members. Maintains accurate and timely documentation, and collaborates and communicates effectively with the healthcare team.
     

Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, BSN preferred.
  • Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
  • Certification in specialty is preferred; other as noted below for specific units as indicated within 1 year of hire: ACLS and PALS required
