Phlebotomist - Full Time

MLee Healthcare has been engaged by our client to recruit a phlebotomist for their growing team NW of Columbus, OH.

Phlebotomist - PBT Responsibilities:

• Perform venipunctures and collect blood samples from patients using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling of specimens.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis and ensure proper storage and transportation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate specimen collection.
• Stay up-to-date with phlebotomy best practices, industry trends, and regulatory guidelines.

Phlebotomist - PBT Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program.
• Current certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., ASCP, NHA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in venipuncture and blood specimen collection.
• Excellent understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and infection control practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately label and track specimens.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient care and confidentiality.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
