Job Overview:
MLR Healthcare is looking for an essential member to join our interdisciplinary sports medicine team. The Athletic Trainer (AT) will provide on-site athletic training coverage at designated schools and community events. Under the supervision of a physician, the AT will offer a wide range of services, including prevention, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Coverage: Deliver athletic training services at assigned schools and community events as needed.
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care that includes prevention, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Premier Health standards.
- Professional Practice: Engage in continuous education to stay current with industry trends.
- Public Speaking: Participate in public speaking events to promote awareness and educate others about sports medicine.
- Cost Management: Assist with cost management initiatives within the sports medicine department.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to athletes and stakeholders.
Educational Requirements:
- Minimum Level: Bachelor’s degree
- Degree Type: Bachelor of Science or equivalent
- Major/Area of Study: Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Current Athletic Training license in the State of Ohio
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification
- National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification
Experience:
- Minimum Required: No prior job-related experience
- Preferred Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience
