Central Sterile Technician

MLR is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Central Sterile Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of surgical instruments and equipment. You will be responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, sterilizing, and assembling surgical instrument trays and equipment according to established protocols.
Central Sterile Technician Key Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assemble and organize surgical instrument trays according to operating room schedules.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality, identifying any defects or damage.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and sterilizers.
- Adhere to infection control standards and hospital policies to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including load testing and biological indicators.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterilized instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of sterilization equipment.

Central Sterile Technician Qualifications:
- Central Sterile Processing Certification (CRCST or CBSPD) required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
