Job Details
Central Sterile Technician - (CST)
Sign on 10k* 2 year commitment
Schedule: 3 Shifts Available
10:00 - 12:00 pm to 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Job Summary
Responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, sterilizing, scanning, storing, and distributing reusable surgical instruments and equipment. Ensures compliance with organizational policies and industry standards (OSHA, CDC, AAMI, IAHCSMM, etc.).

Equipment/Tools/Software
- Basic computer skills (keyboarding, order entry, word processing).
- Ability to operate sterilizers and other equipment per manufacturer’s guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain composure under stress.
- Identify, inspect, clean, sterilize, and distribute instruments.
- Monitor supply usage and adjust inventory levels.
- Maintain sterilization records and perform routine biological testing.
- Ensure functionality of instruments and arrange repairs as needed.
- Reprocess endoscopes and assist in instrument training.
- Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures.
- Assist in surgical room preparation and turnover.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient safety.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Central Service Technician (within 1 year of hire).
- Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification.
