Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to critically ill or unstable patients in the ICU.
- Assessment & Monitoring: Continuously assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and intervene as necessary to stabilize and improve patient health.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, ensuring compliance with all hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- Emergency Response: Quickly respond to medical emergencies, applying advanced nursing skills and techniques in critical situations.
- Family Communication: Offer clear and compassionate communication with patients’ families, providing updates and answering questions regarding treatment plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on post-care procedures, discharge plans, and follow-up care.
- Quality Care: Uphold the hospital’s commitment to high standards of care, patient safety, and clinical excellence.
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN License in the state of Ohio.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in ICU or critical care nursing preferred; however, new grads with a strong clinical background will be considered.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications such as CCRN (Certified Critical Care Nurse).
- Experience with advanced ICU technologies and equipment.
- Prior experience in a high-acuity ICU setting.
