This Operating Room Patient Care Technician position is a vital part of the surgical services department, offering the opportunity to assist across multiple clinical areas, including ambulatory care, sterile processing, phlebotomy, and surgical support. Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED (Required) 
• 1–3 years of relevant experience as an STNA, Medical Assistant, or Phlebotomist (Preferred) 
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification (Required; can be obtained during orientation) 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist with operating room support, sterile equipment handling, and surgical prep 
• Monitor and document vital signs, perform bladder scans and blood glucose testing 
• Collect and transport lab specimens, perform EKGs, and assist with phlebotomy tasks 
• Manage supply restocking, equipment transport, and room turnover 
• Perform clerical duties including order entry and answering phones 
• Support nursing staff with direct patient care under RN supervision 
• Communicate with families and promote involvement in patient care where appropriate 
• Flex to other departments as needed based on patient census and staffing
