MLR Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and certified athletic trainer to join our team in Ohio. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to athletes, prioritizing their safety and well-being. This position involves on-site athletic training coverage at assigned schools and community events. Key responsibilities include injury prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, developing conditioning programs, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Educational Requirements:

• Minimum Level: Bachelor’s degree
• Degree Type: Bachelor of Science or equivalent
• Major/Area of Study: Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field
• Preferred Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current Athletic Training license in the State of Ohio
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification
• National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site athletic training at designated schools and community events as directed.
• Deliver injury prevention, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Premier Health standards.
• Engage in continuous education and stay informed about industry trends.
• Participate in public speaking engagements to promote awareness and education in sports medicine.
• Contribute to cost management initiatives within the sports medicine department.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service for athletes and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other sports medicine team members to enhance overall effectiveness.
