They handle patient positioning and administer oral and intravenous contrast agents as needed for various procedures. CT / X-ray Tech Qualifications
- Two years post-high school education.
- Current radiologic licensure from the State of Ohio Department of Health and ARRT registered required.
- CT Technologist certification is requested within 2 years and required at 3 years.
- BLS certification required.

CT / X-ray Tech job description
- Operates the CT scanner to obtain diagnostic scans utilizing the scope of practice for medical imaging as defined by ARRT and ASRT and in compliance with the Ohio Department of Health rules and regulations.
- Review each examination for technical accuracy.
- Proficient at transmitting images to PACS and scanning in appropriate documents.
- Rotates CT call.
- Checks for expiration dates on supplies and disposes of expired items.
- 75% attendance at department meetings.
- Schedules patients in conjunction with the Outpatient Scheduling Department.
- Maintains compliance in RQI.
- Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
