Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (Required)
- 1–3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, STNA, or Phlebotomist (Preferred)
- BCLS certification (Required – may be obtained during orientation)
What You Will Do:
- Perform a variety of clinical support tasks including obtaining vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and bladder scans under RN supervision
- Assist with patient preparation, transport, and room turnover in surgical and ambulatory settings
- Collect, label, and transport lab specimens following hospital protocol
- Conduct EKGs, assist with phlebotomy, and enter lab orders in CPSI
- Perform sterile processing duties and maintain stock of department supplies
- Handle clerical responsibilities such as answering phones and entering orders
- Support the patient’s family involvement in care when appropriate
- Demonstrate flexibility by floating across clinical areas as needed based on staffing and census
